Can I get multiple or unlimited prescriptions with GenderGP's Treatment Recommendations?
While, theoretically, someone could try to request a new Treatment Recommendation every day and take that to a prescriber in an attempt to get more medication, doing so is illegal and will result in the termination of your GenderGP account.
Independent prescribers and pharmacies are trained to spot any unusual or potentially illegal activity. If they notice that someone is trying to get multiple prescriptions outside of what's medically necessary, they’ll stop it in its tracks.
What Happens if Someone Tries to Break the Rules?
If a prescriber or pharmacy identifies that someone is making inappropriate or illegal requests for medication, that person’s access to GenderGP will be terminated immediately. It’s not just against our policy—it’s against the law. Prescription fraud is taken very seriously, and we work with doctors and pharmacists to prevent it.
Legitimate Reasons for Requesting a New Prescription Early
That said, we recognize there are certain legitimate cases in which you may need to request a new, replacement prescription. These reasons might include:
- Your medication was lost or stolen
- Your paper prescription was lost, stolen, or damaged
- Your pharmacist opened your electronic prescription, thereby rendering your prescription invalid, and but wasn't able to dispense (for any reason including not being able to verify prescriber credentials)
