Before we can begin your care journey at GenderGP, there’s one important step: the Consent Check-in. This helps us make sure you’re ready, informed, and getting the right support for your needs.
It also ensures you meet the ICD-11 criteria for Gender Incongruence and that you’re able to provide informed consent – both essential for us to offer safe, effective care.
You can choose between two options for completing your Consent Check-in:
Automated Consent Check-in
Fast
Flexible (complete anytime)
£20
This option is super convenient – you can complete it in your own time through the Hub, and it usually takes just a few minutes. As part of signing up, you’ll be asked a few thoughtful questions about your experience and understanding of gender-affirming care, with helpful guidance from Dr. Helen Webberley along the way.
We encourage you to give detailed answers – reflect on your journey so far, explore what gender-affirming care means to you, and feel free to chat things over with supportive people beforehand.
If your responses show you’re ready, you’ll move straight on to the next step of your journey.
If we need a bit more information to get a clearer picture, don’t worry – you’re not alone. We’ll guide you to a counsellor who can support you and help build a clearer path forward.
Wellbeing Advisor Consent Check-in
Bookable online session via Google Meet
Around 30 minutes
£65
Prefer to talk it through with someone? You can book a live session with a Wellbeing Advisor. This is a two-way conversation, so you’ll be able to ask questions too.
This is a great choice if:
You’re not sure about something
You’d like more guidance
You want to talk things through in more detail
If the advisor feels you’re ready, you’ll move forward with your care.
If not quite yet, that’s totally okay – we’ll connect you with someone who can help you learn more and feel fully prepared.
