A Formal Diagnosis Letter from GenderGP is a document confirming that a person meets the ICD-11 criteria for Gender Incongruence. It's a formal recognition of gender identity that can be used for medical, legal or personal purposes (e.g. surgery, hormone therapy, legal gender marker changes).
Purpose of the Letter
- To provide official confirmation under international diagnostic standards (ICD-11).
- To support various stages in a gender journey, especially where documentation is required (medical treatment, legal changes).
How to Get One
- Book a 45-minute online session with a gender specialist partner through GenderGP.
- In that session, you'll discuss your experiences and provide information needed to assess whether you meet diagnostic criteria.
- The session is done via video (Google Meet) to make it accessible and convenient.
What You'll Receive
- A written letter that formally confirms a diagnosis of Gender Incongruence according to ICD-11 standards.
- The letter can be used as evidence for access to hormone treatments, surgery, or legal transitions.
