Keeping Your Account Safe

Your GenderGP account holds a lot of personal and sensitive information, so it's super important to keep it protected. Here are some easy ways to boost your security and give yourself peace of mind:

Create Strong, Unique Passwords

  • Use a mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols.

  • Make sure your password is unique – don’t reuse the same one across different websites.

  • Having trouble remembering them all? A trusted password manager can help keep things organized and safe.

  • Never share your password. And just so you know – GenderGP will never ask you for your password.

Keep Your Email Secure

Your email is the gateway to most of your online accounts, so keeping it safe is key!

  • Use a strong password and set up two-factor authentication (2FA) if it’s available.

  • Regularly check your inbox rules and filters to spot anything suspicious.

  • If you signed up using Google, make sure your Google account is secure too.

Need help with your email provider? Here’s advice for a few popular ones:

Turn on Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

2FA adds an extra layer of security to your account by asking for a second form of ID when you log in.

Keep Your Devices Secure

  • Always keep your operating system and apps up to date – those updates often include important security fixes.

  • Lock your device with a passcode, fingerprint, or face ID.

  • Use your browser’s built-in protection against phishing and malware:

  • Don’t forget to run regular virus scans to catch anything suspicious.
