What do I do if my doctor won’t help, even though I gave them my Treatment Recommendation?

Sadly, many doctors are not totally knowledgeable or comfortable with gender identity and some refuse to help. We have a network of prescribers, nurses, doctors, counselors, and advisors who can help you on your journey.

You can request to be referred to an independent prescriber by selecting this option in the Treatment Recommendation Request form. You will then be able to request a prescription from one of the below options:

  • Electronic Prescription Dispensed by Smartway -  (If you are in the UK and are over the age of 18) - A payment link will be sent to you for the cost of your prescribed mediation, once paid, the medication will be delivered to the address you have provided.

  • Electronic Prescription Token powered by Clynxx - A prescription token will be sent to your email which can then be taken to a pharmacy of your choice and who will take payment for your medication and dispense to you.

  • Paper Prescription (£20) - A paper prescription is hand-signed and posted by mail to you. Once received, you can take this to a pharmacy of your choice, who will take payment for your medication and dispense to you.

Please ensure that the £15 Independent Prescriber Referral fee is paid for all three of those options and an additional £20 paper prescription fee if you select that option.
