How can we help you?

Is there a minimum or maximum age to join GenderGP?

GenderGP offers support for all age groups including children, young people, and adults of all ages.

Please bear in mind, however, that children won’t require any potential medical treatment until the onset of puberty (Tanner, Stage 2). Before then, their transition should be managed socially (allowing the child to dress and identify how they wish). With the onset of puberty, we can work with the adolescent and their parent/guardian to help any young person suffering from gender dysphoria.

Elderly adults are eligible for Treatment Recommendations and can pursue gender-affirming medical treatment as long as it’s medically safe for them to do so.
