The UK Government has indefinitely banned the prescription of GnRHa blockers (also known as puberty blockers) to under 18s. Prescriptions can be dispensed in the UK to persons over the age of 18.
Non-UK prescribers are able to provide prescriptions for GnRHa blockers to under 18s, and that prescription can be used with a chemist that’s outside of the UK and therefore not held under the UK government’s puberty blocker ban.
GenderGP disagrees with the government’s ban on GnRHa blockers for under 18s. You can read about our stance here.
