Gender Marker Letter: How Members Can Buy One Through GenderGP
Many people, at some point in their gender-affirming journey, seek to officially change their gender marker on their government-issued driver's license and passport.
While the process for changing your gender marker differs from country to country, the UK now allows you to submit a Gender Marker Letter - issued by a professional consultant involved in your gender-affirming care - as sufficient evidence for correction.
The letter confirms that your gender change is permanent. It can be used in place of the notoriously-difficult-to-obtain Gender Recognition Certificate (GRC).
Here at GenderGP, we now offer members and non-members the ability to purchase a Gender Marker Letter to support your application. To do so, simply book a Gender Marker Consultation Session and the letter will be sent to you as the result of the session. The cost of the session is either £55 (if you want an electronic signature) or £75 (if you want a wet signature, in which case, we will need to post the letter to you).
Our letter is written and signed by a clinician accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
